Supportive Career Nanny Wanted in Washington, DC

 In Job Book

Family First Household Staffing Agency is assisting first time parents in finding a long term nanny for their cuddly and curious 6 month old boy. They are located near the Bloomingdale neighborhood in Washington, D.C. The zip code is 20001 for reference.

The family is looking for a nanny to start June 1st, but are willing to wait for the right fit as they are looking for someone to grow with their family. This position is Monday – Friday 8am-6pm, guaranteeing 50 hours per week. They are offering $18-$20 per hour for a career nanny that has three or more years of in-home experience with infants, and one year of experience with premature infants. Pay depends on the nannies background, qualifications, trainings and experience.

The family is currently working from home. In September, the mother will return to work, while the father will continue to work from home in his enclosed office that is away from the main living areas of the home. It is important that their nanny be comfortable and flexible with this working situation. Their perfect fit nanny is one who is calm, communicative, and interactive. As their child grows, they would love for him to experience local classes, playdates and trips to the park. For now, they would like their nanny to take their little one on walks around the neighborhood, engage him in plenty of tummy time and of course any interactive time that helps him grow developmentally. They are looking for their nanny to be a support to the family, and bring a nurturing and calming environment into their home.

As first time parents of a preemie, it is important to the family that their nanny be very comfortable with infants and supporting them during doctors appointments. Their son currently uses an apnea monitor and has weekly doctor’s appointments as well as physical therapy exercises that the nanny will need to be comfortable doing. They need a nanny who has the foresight to anticipate their child’s needs, can recognize any developmental issues and is communicative with them about their child’s day.

If you have a calming, nurturing demeanor, and extensive experience with infants as a nanny, this job could be great for you! Newborn Care Specialists looking for a long term position are encouraged to apply.
