Positive Nanny Needed in Greater Charlotte, NC
Family First Household Staffing Agency is excited to assist a family in Mooresville, NC (40 minutes north of Charlotte), in finding a long term nanny for their two children, ages 2 and 2.5 months. The family is willing to offer a relocation package for the right candidate who is not local to the area.
This position will start in January 2022. The nanny’s schedule will be 40 hours a week, with days and times TBD. The family is offering $25-$30 an hour for a kind, collaborative, and positive nanny with some family assistant experience, as they would like a nanny who is able to occasionally help out with everyday household duties. The family is eager to bring a nanny into their child care team who is warm, intuitive, an active listener, communicative, positive, proactive, gentle and caring. Dad and mom both work from home so their nanny must be collaborative and adaptable. . They would love a nanny who would accompany them on a few trips a year, both domestically and internationally, so travel experience is a plus. The ideal nanny will take initiative in facilitating engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for the children. Their oldest is empathetic and active, and thrives off of a caregiver who is engaged, active, loving, fun and enjoys getting silly! She enjoys reading, being outside, coloring, and singing. She is very social, playful, and is comfortable in large groups. They are currently working on self regulation with her, as she grows and develops into herself. She loves to swim, so it is important that their nanny be comfortable taking her to the pool. As things increasingly open post COVID, they imagine their toddler taking more group based classes and going on more playdates. She is currently in daycare full time, so the nanny’s focus will primarily be on care for their infant. Occasionally the nanny will look after the toddler on days where she might be off from school, home for a half-day, or when mom/dad are doing something with the baby.
The family has shared It is important that their nanny be adaptable,independent, proactive, and willing to take initiative. They would like their nanny to feel comfortable with some household management duties such as unpacking groceries, errand running, organizing, and occasional laundry. The family would like someone who can occasionally meal prep for the family, in addition to managing the children’s meals throughout the day. It is also important that their candidates have the COVID 19 and TDAP vaccine.

Childcare related duties including but not limited to:
- Kids laundry
- Washing and sanitizing bottles
- Loading and unloading the dishwasher
- Keeping play areas tidy
- Restocking nursery
- Creating a structured environment
- Planning and facilitating activities
- Supporting developmental milestones
Household responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Unpacking groceries
- Dinner prep and preparing meals for kids
- Occasional parents’ laundry
- Unpacking deliveries and putting them away
- Occasionally watering the plants around the yard
- Occasional errand running
- Occasional household/family organization projects
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- 1 year of recent, in home experience as a family assistant
- 3 years of professional experience with infants
- Be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Speak English fluently
- At least three years of professional, recent experience working as a nanny preferred
- be able to pass a government background check if hired, including sex offender, criminal, county, and state, DMV records
