Family First is happily assisting a family located in Waxhaw, NC, in finding a long term nanny for their four children, ages six (twins,) eleven, and thirteen.

This position will start on August 10th, but the family is willing to wait for the right fit. The nanny’s schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:30am-3pm, though more hours can be negotiated for the right fit. The twins will be in school on Mondays and this is when the nanny will complete the majority of the household management duties. The family is offering $20-25 an hour for a kind, structured nanny with leadership and household management experience. Both mom and dad work from home, so their nanny must be comfortable with others in the home during work hours.

The family is eager to bring a nanny into their home who will facilitate online learning provided by their regular school. It should be noted that they are also hiring a tutor to assist with the children’s learning, so it is vital that their nanny be a team player. That being said, the family would like the nanny to be fully in charge of their children’s schooling. The nanny will be responsible for communicating with the children’s teachers, setting up zoom calls, checking in with the tutor, and generally organizing daily schooling schedules for their 4 kids.

Their perfect fit nanny is one who is balanced. They are looking for someone who can take a leadership role in their home, but also nurture the kids emotionally and make sure they are still having fun in day-to-day life. The family values outdoor time, regardless of the weather conditions, and would need a nanny who enjoys playing outside.

The family has shared with us that they would love to bring someone on that is from a big family. They would love to have a nanny that will meet each child where they are at and encourage them through learning and play. The twins have big personalities and love to stay active and try new things. The oldest enjoys skate boarding, connecting with friends and needs a little push when it comes to school while the 6th grader loves a good challenge.

It is important to the family that their nanny be open minded and independent. They expect their nanny to provide structure and schedule for their children in schooling, chores, behavior, and play. They want a nanny who can keep the kids engaged, active, busy, and away from screens. It is also important that their candidate is following CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19.

If you are extremely organized, engaging, fun, structured, and possess strong leadership skills, we would love for you to apply! You must have a bachelor’s degree or higher for this position, and it should be noted that the family has one lovable dog.
