Family First is assisting a lovely family in Charlotte, North Carolina, in finding an active, patient, long term nanny for their three children, ages 11, 5 , and 1 months. They are located in South Charlotte near the Arboretum.
This position starts as soon as possible. They are offering $23-25 an hour for a loving and outgoing candidate who is willing to become an addition to their family. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, guaranteeing 40 hours a week. The family works from home and needs a nanny who is an active communicator, as they possibly may return to the office in the future. The two older children, 11 and 5, are in school during the week, so it is vital that their nanny be comfortable with drop offs and pickups. A nanny car will be provided.
It is important that their nanny be fun-loving, kind, and active. They enjoy going out for walks as a family, and do some crafting. They always have a stash of fun crafts to do. They like their children to be responsible for participating in some chores, and for their nanny to encourage independence. They need someone who is confident in caring for all three children at once, and who can be sociable and polite. They are looking for a nanny who can keep their children active and engaged in plans throughout the day. It would be ideal for their nanny to handle the childrens schedule and sign them up for summer activities and camp. It is important for their nanny to find ways to engage their 11 year old during their free time (he loves to cook and build things!) Their five-year-old loves pretend play, barbies, and crafts.
Their perfect nanny is one who has boundaries and can fit into their lives naturally. They need someone who is comfortable with their three pets; two large, sweet dogs, and an old man, grumpy cat who keeps to himself.
Their nanny’s responsibilities and duties will include active and engaging childcare, as well as errand running when needed, light household duties, scheduling, and baby-wearing. They are a laid-back family, and it is important that their nanny be able to be consistent in their methods of child rearing and running the household. If you have a Montessori or Love and Logic background, this would be a great job for you!

Childcare related duties including but not limited to:
- Infant care (feeding, changing, nap time, etc)

Household responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Keeping play areas tidy
- Sanitizing toys
- Keeping nursery stocked
Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- 1 year of recent, previous in-home experience as a nanny
- 2 years of recent experience with infants and toddlers
- Be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to pass a government background check if hired, including sexoffender, criminal, county, and state, DMV records
- Looking to commit to a long-term job
- Practicing a COVID safe lifestyle
- Enjoy being active and spending time outside
- Fluent in English
