Family First is assisting a family located in Wesley Chapel (with a Matthews zip code) in finding a long-term, part time family assistant for their two active children, ages 8 and 10. They are looking for a nanny who can grow with their family.
This position starts August 16th, 2021. Care is needed Tuesday and Wednesday, from 1pm to 9pm, Thursday and Friday from 1pm-7pm, and 4-6 hours on either Saturday or Sunday (weekend schedule given a month in advance.) Their family assistant will have a weekend day and Monday off. This position is 30-35 hours a week. They are offering 35 guaranteed hours and $25-$30 an hour for a loving, organized, and flexible family assistant.
Both mom and dad work demanding jobs and are looking for a family assistant that is highly skilled and will be present in their home and for their children. Both of their children are viewed as mature for their ages. They are highly driven, intelligent, and active children who require the curated space and support to nurture their talents and interests. They are well spoken, articulate, and kind children. Their 10 year old enjoys socializing and is very studious. Their 8 year old enjoys learning about the world around him and can rattle off facts about any and everything. Both children enjoy competitive dancing, and lead a very strict and busy after school calendar. Their family assistant must be comfortable with driving. School is not very far from their home, but their dance studio is a 30 minute drive.
Their ideal family assistant is one who can keep their kids on track, but also one who can lead with empathy. They are a no-nonsense, hardworking family, and they also value kindness, empathy, forgiveness, and emotional support. Their family assistant must be confident in their home to make the necessary decisions when they are not available. They are looking for a family assistant who will cook for the children. They prefer someone who has experience with gluten free and dairy free diets, and can make meals that exclude shellfish and pork.
They are open to seeing a candidate who was a teacher in the past, but is new to the household staff game. They prefer that their family assistant be vaccinated for COVID and have a degree. If you are an organized, active, driven, and empathic family assistant, we would love for you to apply!
Childcare related duties including but not limited to:
- Picking up the children from school
- Driving to and from after school activities
- Homework help/ homework check
- Keeping play areas and children’s rooms tidy
Household responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Unloading/loading dishwasher
- Children’s laundry
- Errand running as needed
- Meal prep
- Household duties will be added as needed

Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid Certified

- Must be fluent in English
- be legally permitted to work in the United Statesbe at least 21 years of age
- have at least three years of professional, recent experience working as a nanny
- be able to pass a government background check if hired, including sex offender, criminal, county, and state, DMV records
