Family First is excitedly assisting a professional family located in Charlotte, North Carolina, in finding a long term nanny for their active and curious 18 month old daughter. They specifically are in the Myers Park area of town. This position starts July 12th, 2021, but the family is willing to wait for the right fit. Care is needed consistently from 8am-6pm Monday through Friday, guaranteeing 50 hours a week.

They are offering $20-$25/hour for a nanny who is engaging, active, and hands-on. They employ a house manager as well, so their nanny must be comfortable communicating and collaborating with others in the home. As a family, they enjoy walking with their fur baby, swimming, reading together, and eating a healthy, vegan diet. Their nanny is welcome to eat whatever they like in the home, but must be comfortable and confident in preparing easy and healthy vegan meals for their family. They are looking for someone to continue their parenting style while they are not home.

As a family, they believe in positive discipline, redirection, natural consequences, and curiosity based learning. Their ideal nanny would be someone who can empower their daughter to learn and help her develop through curiosity and exposure to new things, while occasionally offering parental support along the way. Someone who has experience with Montessori learning and early childhood education would be a great fit!

Their daughter is happy and silly, and they are looking for a nanny who can match her energy, while still keeping a level of professionalism in their home. Communication is big with their family. They would like a nanny who is able to communicate clearly with them on their child’s needs, as well as their own needs. Their perfect fit nanny is one who is proactive, organized, silly, calm, confident, and can swim! Above all, they want someone with a gentle and loving touch, who will care for their daughter and help her grow into a confident, kind, empowered, and empathic person.

Their nanny must have both the TDAP and COVID Vaccine, with flu shot preferred. The family would like their nanny to travel with them for 1 to 2 weeks a year. They are looking for someone who can advocate for themselves, practice self care, and communicate their needs.
