Family First Household Staffing Agency is excited to assist a family in Mooresville, NC, in finding a long term nanny to grow with their family. They have two children, ages 3 and 6 months. The family is willing to offer a relocation package for the right candidate who is not local to the area.
This position will start in May of 2022. The nanny’s schedule will be a guaranteed 50 hours a week. They are requesting flexibility with times and number of children in the nanny’s direct care. While primary care will be for their infant child, it is important that their nanny be comfortable and willing to care for their toddler solo or in conjunction with their infant. The family is offering $25-$30 an hour for a warm, interactive, positive and flexible nanny who is passionate about supporting their family as it grows. Dad and mom both work from home so their nanny must be comfortable with being a collaborative team player. Their nanny would be most helpful if they were a go-with-the-punches kind of person. In working with their family, not all days may look exactly the same – on some days the nanny might be with one or both kids and at times mom or dad might step in to spend some one-on-one time with a child. They wish for a nanny who can be flexible and see these changes as opportunities to help out with childcare related responsibilities or take a few minutes to recharge. They would love a nanny who would accompany them on a few trips a year, both domestically and internationally, so travel experience is a plus. The family values honest and open communication and is looking for a nanny who does too.
The family’s 3 year old daughter is empathetic, active, silly and independent minded. She thrives off of a caregiver who is engaged, active, fun and supports her independence. She enjoys reading, imaginative play, being outside, coloring/painting, and singing. They are currently working on self regulation with her, as she grows and develops into herself. She is in a full-day daycare program and will be participating in some different camps this summer. At times the nanny will help take her to and from activities or spend time with her when she is at home.
Otherwise, the nanny will spend most of the time with their 6 month old son. He follows an eat, play, sleep schedule and the nanny would be asked to continue to support that and help him to reach his developmental milestones.
The family cares about helping both children to be independent, resilient, kind, empathetic, and emotionally aware. They also value whole child education principles (Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio-Emilia) and look to facilitate aligned learning experiences for their children. It is important that their children build a loving and supportive sibling relationship. They will look to their nanny to support these philosophies.
It is also important that candidates have the COVID 19 and TDAP vaccine and are comfortable with swimming (the family lives on a lake and goes to a private community pool).
If you are warm, engaging, fun, professional, flexible and comfortable with being a team player, we would love for you to apply!
