Family First is happily assisting a family of 4 in Dilworth in finding a long term, part time nanny for their two active and curious children, ages 4 (almost 5!) and 2.5.
This position starts in mid May. Care is needed Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 7am-6pm. They are offering $20-$25 an hour, and 33 guaranteed hours a week, for a nanny that is silly, calm, experienced, and engaging. They have a no screen time policy, and would like a nanny who can support their children’s individual interests and growth. As a family, they value gentle parenting, Whole Brain Child, and Montessori methods. Someone who is experienced, or willing to learn, in these philosophies would be ideal.
Their oldest is a ton of fun. He enjoys being outdoors, and can spend hours on developing an idea once he gets going (future engineer, perhaps)?! Their daughter loves to read and play independently. During the school year, their son will be in Kindergarten, and their daughter will be in preschool for a few hours. During that time, they would like assistance with household tasks. They would like to raise honest, caring, gentle, and independent children who care about others and the environment. Their ideal nanny is one that is kind, easy going, energetic, organized, and not afraid to be silly when playing with the kids. They would like someone who is truly invested in their job and their family.

Childcare duties include, but not limited to:
- Creating developmentally appropriate activities for them, taking them to various activities (library, music class, nature center, etc.), and enjoying outdoor play
- Communication with parents
- Keeping children on track developmentally
- Transportation to and from school and activities
- Homework assistance
Household Duties include, but not limited to:
- Laundry
- Running Errands
- Meal Prep
- Light household tidying
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of childcare experience
- Reliable, organized, and trustworthy
- Experience caring for toddlers and school-age children
- Gentle discipline approach that aligns with parenting style
- Open and proactive with communication
- Has a reliable vehicle that fits 2 car seats safely
- Clear background check and driving record
- CPR certification
- Fully vaccinated (including COVID booster)
- Non-smoker
- Fluent in English
- Must be at least 21 years of age
