Family First is aiding a family located in Myers Park in finding a long term, special needs nanny for their two happy children, ages 2.5 and 9 months. They are doing a nationwide search in order to find their perfect fit, and are offering a relocation package.

This position starts ASAP. Care is needed Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, but they do have some flexibility there. They are offering $23-$28/hour and 45 guaranteed hours a week for a special and experienced nanny who can be a consistent caregiver for their 2.5 year old who has cerebral palsy. Their nanny will need to assist with exercises recommended by their child’s doctor. She has therapy daily. They would like help with transitioning their oldest to solid foods, and are interested in getting her enrolled in a half-day pre-k program when things settle down. Someone with nursing experience would be great for this family.

Their 2.5 year old is very charismatic and bright. She loves to meet new people and is fearless. Their 9 month old is independent and social. Both children love being outside, reading, playing games, and listening to music. They would love for their nanny to socialize the kids as well as engage them in educational and sensory activities.

Their goal is to raise independent, kind, and diverse children. They value redirection and teaching soothing skills. Their perfect fit nanny is proactive and takes initiative, and can teach kids to stand on their own while providing them with lifelong tools to succeed. The family is requesting assistance with bottle washing, running the dishwasher, children’s laundry, and cleaning up after activities. They have a 17 year old child as well as two cats, but their nanny will not need to care for them. At the end of the day, their nanny needs to have compassion with a true caregiving heart and willingness to learn.

If you are an engaging, experienced, and proactive nanny with special needs experience, we would love for you to apply!
