Family First is excited to assist an active family of three located in Mint Hill, NC, in finding a professional, energetic, and experienced nanny for their one child, aged 16 months.
This position starts on March 6th, 2023. Care is needed Monday through Thursday, 8am-530pm and Friday, 8am-330pm. They are offering $25-$30 an hour and guaranteed hours for a nanny that is outgoing, engaging, energetic, and organized, with good judgment skills and situational awareness. Both mom and dad are busy and involved in their careers, however, they value being hands on and engaged in the day to day care of their child. They do travel often for work, so a caregiver open to overnights is great. When they are not traveling, they both work from home. Mom and dad are also looking for assistance in creating healthy meals and lifestyle balance for their daughter. They want their daughter to grow up with a preschool environment at home, so someone who has knowledge of developmental and educational milestones is ideal. Their current nanny plans themed weeks in advance with crafts, books, activities, and recipes, keeping their daughter engaged in a curriculum throughout the week. They want this educational style to continue with their new caregiver.
Their daughter is a unique child. She is happy, artsy, and loves to play with blocks. She is a dare devil and enjoys being a “tumbler,” loves mega hairbows, and hedgehogs! She works well within healthy boundaries and choices offered by her caregivers and thrives in environments that keep her engaged and on her feet. A nanny who is able to be a team player and work alongside mom and dad in meeting goals is ideal. A few goals they are looking to instill is independent self care, such as hairbrushing, feeding, etc. Mom and dad would love to raise a child who is confident, motivated, and driven. A nanny who is open to giving and receiving feedback and is able to have open, honest communication with the parents would be great. They would like a nanny who is comfortable swimming in their pool with their child, and one that is okay if they decide to add a dog to their family.

Duties include:
- Advanced planning of fun curriculum based activities
- Tend to child’s general needs
- Communicate with parents
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining child’s schedule as she grows
- Meal prep for the child
- Keeping child room and play areas tidy and stocked
- Washing bottles and items used during meals
- Empty diaper pail as needed
- Change child’s bedsheets
- Rotating toys
- Organizing child’s spaces and closets
Requirements:
- Engaging, respectful, eager
- Timely and dependable
- Embraces quasi-Montessori-style
- Good communication skills
- 5+ years of professional nanny experience
- CPR certified
- Strong swimmer
- At least 23 years of age
- Legally allowed to work in the US
- Fluent in English
- Willing to undergo an extensive background check
