Family First is eager to assist a family relocating from NYC to the Cotswold neighborhood of Charlotte, NC, in finding a long term family assistant for their two adventurous boys, ages 2 and 4. They have a small dog, so while care will not be expected, someone who is comfortable with animals is important.

This position starts July 17th, 2023. Care is needed Monday through Friday, from approximately 8am-6pm, and guarantees 45-50 hours a week, depending on the finalized schedule. They are open to discussion on a salary within the range of  $28-30 an hour for a family assistant that is professional, engaging, and excited to come to work every day! An educational background would be a plus, but is not a requirement. Mom and Dad both work a hybrid in home/in office schedule, so a family assistant that is comfortable with these changes is important. They have very clear boundaries, and their children are used to their nanny having full charge while at work.

Their boys are sweet and kind. They get along well and are great independent players. Their perfect nanny is one who can engage their children on a level that meets both their needs. They would love for their nanny to get them out of the house and go on playdates! A nanny who has a calm demeanor and is engaging and supportive would be an ideal fit! The children will attend half day preschool for some days of the week, so their nanny will be in charge of pick ups, drop offs, etc. They will likely have additional classes during the week once the family settles into Charlotte as well.

As a family, they like to stay very active. They enjoy conversing with their children, and because they both have work travel requirements, family time is extremely important. As parents, they use a gentle parenting approach, and value taking the time explaining the why behind a decision. They are looking for a nanny that is engaged in the nanny community and can get their boys adjusted to life in a new city. Someone who is proactive and is able to step up when they see a need is ideal. Both mom and dad are direct communicators and like to maintain open dialogue with their caretaker!  Mom is not a micromanager and likes their family assistant to have full charge of the children and home environment during working hours.

If you are a professional, engaging, and uplifting nanny/family assistant, we would love for you to apply!
