Start Date: Starting ASAP  

Location: South Charlotte – 28277 

Hours: Monday- Thursday, 8 AM – 12PM, and Friday 8-4/5pm.

Pay: $30-$34 hour 

Note: This position includes working in tandem with the mother and nanny. You will never be alone with all 3 children. 

Job Overview:

Family First is seeking a dedicated and caring Family Assistant for a loving family in South Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive environment and enjoys working as part of a team. The family, who runs their own business, has three active children (ages 7 months, 3 years, and 6 years) and values kindness, empathy, and open communication. They have a full time nanny for the children, but will need help with their 7 month old 1 hour a day M-Th and then on Fridays. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Child Care: Engage with children through developmentally appropriate activities like coloring, painting, and imaginative play. Assist with daily routines, including feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities.

  • Household Management:

    • Manage regular tasks such as laundry (washing, folding, and putting away), loading/unloading the dishwasher, and tidying up (putting away toys and items from countertops).
    • Perform light cleaning duties, including surface wipe-downs and light vacuuming as needed.
    • Help organize and put away groceries, and manage items from suitcases after trips.
    • Prepare sheets for the weekly cleaning crew and assist with watering indoor plants.

  • Occasional Errands: Assist with picking up items or returning packages to UPS/Whole Foods.

  • Collaboration: Work alongside the mother and a second nanny, ensuring the children are safe and well-cared for. You will never be alone with all three children.

Ideal Candidate:

The family is looking for an experienced Family Assistant who is patient, nurturing, and solution-oriented. An ideal candidate prioritizes collaboration and respects each child’s needs and emotions while being open to caring for sick children. Bonus points if you love organizing and want to help clear out areas of the house.

Requirements:

  • Must be CPR and First Aid Certified.
  • Comfortable with dogs.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional, full-time, and recent experience.
  • Able to pass a government background check including sex offender, criminal, county, state, and DMV records.
