Position: Full Time Travel Nanny + NCS
Location: Greensboro + Travel
Start Date: February 5, 2024 (or earlier for the right fit)
Compensation: $30-$40 per hour
Hours: Nanny 1 (M-F 8 AM – 6 PM) Nanny 2 (Evenings + Weekends) Open to ROTA Nanny 7 days on 7 days off.

Family First is assisting first-time parents seeking a dedicated and energetic nanny to care for their infant in Greensboro, NC. The family is social, loves to entertain, and travels frequently, both domestically and internationally. They want a nanny who can integrate seamlessly into their household and be a proactive, intuitive, and supportive member of the family. 

A strong focus on safety and education is paramount for them. They are particularly interested in a Montessori-style approach that emphasizes learning through play. As they may homeschool their children in the future, a background in early childhood education or Montessori principles would be a valuable asset.

In addition to their home in Greensboro, they have multiple residences across the country. They value an active lifestyle, so a strong swimmer is a must, as well as someone who is comfortable engaging with the family’s diverse activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary care for infant, including all related tasks such as laundry, organization, food/milk prep, and maintaining sleep and eating schedules.
  • Restocking the nursery, washing and sanitizing breast pumps and bottles, changing the diaper pail, replacing crib and changing mat sheets.
  • Prioritize the child’s safety and well-being by ensuring safe sleeping practices and proper car seat usage, among other measures.
  • Help prepare the infant for travel by packing and looking ahead and travel locations to know what will be needed. 
  • Assist with the children’s development, including fine motor skills, speech, and interpersonal relationships with peers.
  • When appropriate, engage in stimulating activities, including outdoor play, arts and crafts, and developmentally appropriate games to promote learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with parents during their hands-on care, providing sole care when needed, while also allowing for quality one-on-one time with the children.
  • Help with light household duties, such as tidying up, unpacking deliveries, restocking the nursery ect. 
  • Be flexible and adapt to the family’s social lifestyle, which includes hosting events, visiting their farm, riding horses and extensive travel. 

Candidate Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of professional nanny experience and recent experience with infants.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Must be reliable, organized, self motivated and proactive
  • Experience with sleep conditioning and routines for infants is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record; familiarity with driving in various conditions, including snow.
  • Must be 21+ have a valid passport for  international travel and legally allowed to work in the US. 
  • CPR & First Aid certified.

  • A collaborative spirit and ability to work closely with parents in a supportive role.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus.
