Flexible Family Assistant Needed in Mooresville, NC 

Location: Mooresville, NC
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours guaranteed, typically between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM with advance notice of schedule. 
Start Date: January 6, 2025
Compensation: $30-$35 per hour

Family Overview: A loving family in Mooresville, NC, is seeking a long-term Family Assistant to care for their two children in tandem with their long term nanny who is moving to a part term role. The family is looking for someone who can grow with them and potentially stay for the next 5+ years.

Job Overview: The family assistant would be in charge of completing tasks such as meal planning and prep for two children and two adults, running errands, grocery shopping, restocking bathrooms/pantry, and general organizing. It would be great to have a family assistant who can take initiative, see something “extra” may need attention, and handle it promptly.  

Pets: They have a hypoallergenic dog who will also need care.

Mom is a physician and Dad works from home. The family values routine, outdoor time, and a positive, nurturing environment for their child.

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare:

  • Prepare, wash, and sanitize bottles and breast pump parts. 
  • Making food for 
  • Restock nursery and changing areas.
  • Assist with developmental and educational milestones.
  • Facilitate an engaging and interactive environment for the child.
  • Maintain a consistent schedule for the baby.
  • Ensure daily communication with parents.
  • Take the children outdoors regularly for fresh air and exercise.
  • Foster a nurturing and safe environment.
  • Read Bible stories and engage in prayer at meal/bedtime.
  • Encourage growth and development through various activities and play.

Household Duties:

  • Let the dog outside (will ring bell for potty time).
  • Perform children’s laundry and keep the baby’s items clean and organized.
  • Empty diaper pail and maintain cleanliness in the nursery.
  • Grocery shopping for the family.
  • Occasional meal prep for mom and dad (2x/week).
  • General tidying
  • Running errands as needed
  • Help with seasonal decor

    Desired Candidate:

    • A proactive, self-motivated Family Assistant who loves the outdoors and is comfortable with swimming.
    • Someone who enjoys being part of a parenting team and values routine, structure, and educational play.
    • Someone who is kind, patient, and can foster an enriching environment for the child’s growth and development.
    • Someone who has good time management skills and a type A personality.
    • Somone who can respect their family values and philosophies.

    Requirements:

    • At least 3 years of experience with infants.
    • CPR and First Aid certified.
    • COVID and TDAP vaccination required.
    • Fluent in English.
    • Legally permitted to work in the United States.
    • Must be at least 21 years old.
    • Willing to undergo a nationwide background check if hired.
    • Flexibility to work overtime with advance notice.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • $30-$35 hour, based on experience.
    • Legal pay.
    • Overtime available.
