PT Nanny Needed in Mooresville, NC 

Location: Mooresville, NC
Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours guaranteed, typically Monday and Friday 7am-5pm with occasional help needed on the weekends. 
Start Date: January 6, 2025
Compensation: $30-$35 per hour

A warm and welcoming family in Mooresville, NC, is seeking a long-term nanny for their two children, with a focus on growth, development, and loving care. The ideal candidate is someone who loves working children, has extensive childcare experience, and is ready to become an integral part of the family for the long haul. The family currently has a part time nanny and part time house manager so team work and flexibility will be required to thrive in this position.

Responsibilities:

Childcare:

  • Prepare, wash, and sanitize bottles and breast pump parts
  • Restock nursery and baby-changing areas
  • Assist with developmental and educational milestones (play-based learning, sensory activities, etc.)
  • Facilitate an engaging and interactive environment for the child
  • Maintain a consistent daily schedule and routine
  • Ensure daily outdoor time in all seasons
  • Encourage socialization through playdates and developmental activities
  • Keep play areas clean and tidy
  • Offer a nurturing, safe, and loving environment
  • Say prayers at meals/bedtime, read Bible stories, or share daily devotionals

Household Duties:

  • Let the family dog out for potty breaks (dog uses a bell to signal)
  • Do children’s laundry
  • Empty diaper pail
  • Grocery shopping for baby’s needs
  • Occasional meal prep for parents (2x per week)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proactive and self-motivated: A nanny who takes initiative and is always thinking ahead
  • Loves outdoor activities: The family enjoys spending time outdoors in all weather and seasons—nanny should be comfortable encouraging this
  • Swimming: Ideally, the nanny should love swimming, as the children will begin swim lessons early, and the family values outdoor water activities
  • Routine-oriented: Able to keep a consistent schedule, manage time well, and follow through with daily tasks and expectations
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with both parents, providing updates and staying in sync with family expectations
  • Kind, flexible, and loving: Ability to create a warm, loving, and positive atmosphere for the child
  • Family Fit: Looking for a long-term relationship with the family, ideally staying for 5+ years

Qualifications:

  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Must be fluent in English
  • COVID and TDAP vaccinated
  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
  • At least 21 years old
  • Willing to undergo a nationwide background check
  • A flexible attitude and readiness to adapt to the family’s evolving needs
