Job Title: Nanny
Location: Concord, NC (between Concord Mills and Afton Village)
Start Date: ASAP (willing to wait for the right person)
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (32 hours)
Pay: $25 – $27 per hour
About Our Family:
We are a busy, fun, and outgoing family with three young children under the age of 5—G (5 years old), G (3.5 years old), and B (2 years old). Our household is filled with energy, curiosity, and a lot of love. We are seeking a nurturing, patient, and energetic full-time nanny to engage our children in creative and educational activities. While we value routine and structure, we also appreciate the ability to adapt to the chaos that comes with raising a family. Our children are eager learners, and we want someone who can thrive in this lively, ever-changing environment and is passionate about working with children.
As a family, we are warm, supportive, and dedicated to fostering a positive environment for both our children and the nanny who join us. We believe in teaching responsibility from a young age, encouraging our children to make their beds, do their own chores, and clean up after themselves even if it’s a little messy. Our goal is to instill independence, curiosity and a sense of responsibility in them. We are looking for a nanny who shares these values and is eager to grow with us. We would also love someone who can engage in arts and crafts, imagintitive play, story time, and outside play.
We are open to someone new to the nanny industry or with less experience, as long as they possess maturity, a proactive attitude, and a desire to stay with our family for the long term. You will be joining a wonderful team of supportive and understanding employers who care deeply about building lasting relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve gluten-free snacks and meals (especially for the 3.5-year-old) who has Celiacs while ensuring food allergies and cross-contamination are avoided.
- Assist with light cleaning related to children’s activities, such as tidying the playroom and loading the dishwasher. Mom resets sink and dish washer daily prior to nannies arrival.
- Assist with school pick-up/drop-off for the 5-year-old when school begins.
- Use calm, positive discipline techniques, maintaining boundaries and consistency while providing gentle guidance and structure.
- Please note that laundry will not be a duty required
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience caring for multiple young children
- CPR & First Aid certified
- Must be 21 or older and legally allowed to work in the US
- A valid driver’s license and clean background check
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Be comfortable with pets as they have two senior dogs
- Willingness to accommodate the 3.5-year-old’s gluten-free diet and avoid cross-contamination
