Family First Household Staffing Agency is excited to assist a family in Shelby, NC, in finding a long term nanny for their three active children, ages one, five, and nine.

This position will start on August 10th, but the family is willing to wait for the right fit. The nanny’s schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5pm, with slight flexibility. The family is offering $16-20 an hour for an imaginative, structured nanny with a bubbly personality and household management experience. Dad works from home, they employ a weekly housekeeper, and the children take in home piano lessons, so their nanny must be comfortable with others in the home during work hours.

The family is eager to bring a nanny into their home who will facilitate online learning provided by their regular private school. It should be noted that their one-year old will be with his grandmother for a few hours a day to allow their nanny to focus solely on the children’s education . That being said, the family would like the nanny to be fully in charge of their children’s schooling, Zoom schedules, and assignments. The kids have home classrooms in their bedrooms, and are excited to see what the new school year will bring them. Their oldest is relatively self sufficient in her schoolwork, while their five year old is a newer student, and will likely need help in all subjects along the way. Both children thrive off of positive feedback from the adults in their lives.

Their perfect fit nanny is one who is balanced and committed to their family long term. They are looking for someone who can facilitate their children’s academic growth, while still bringing an element of warmth, compassion, and care into their home. The children are as close as two peas in a pod. They are good at independent, imaginative play, but thrive off of a caregiver who is engaged, active, and fun. They have a big backyard and enjoy playing outside whenever possible. They recently bought a pony and are looking for someone who is comfortable taking their children to riding lessons.

The family has shared It is important to the family that their nanny be open minded and independent. They would like their nanny to feel comfortable with some household management duties such as errand running, folding the children’s laundry, and unloading/loading the dishes. The family would like someone who can meal prep for the family, in addition to the children’s meals throughout the day. It is also important that their candidate is following CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19.

If you are organized, engaging, fun, structured, and comfortable facilitating online education, we would love for you to apply! It should be noted that the family has one lovable outdoor dog.
