Family First Household Staffing Agency is excited to assist a family in Chapel Hill in finding a long term, professional, and experienced full time housekeeper for their 9,000 sq ft home. They are seeking a highly organized and motivated housekeeper.
This position starts ASAP. Cleaning is needed Monday through Friday guaranteeing 40 hours of work each week. They are offering a competitive pay rate, based on experience. This is a nationwide search, and they are offering a relocation package. Onsite housing is not provided. Their ideal housekeeper is one who is experienced, self motivated, knowledgeable, and driven. They are a quiet and inclusive couple, who enjoy reading, puzzling, cooking, and spending time together. Their housekeeper must understand proper household etiquette practices, as they enjoy having guests over. It is their goal to have a housekeeper who is going to treat the home as their own. They have had household staff in the past, and enjoy creating lasting relationships with the people in their home. Family is important to them, and they like to view their household staff as a team and an integral piece of their daily success.
Their housekeeper must be comfortable making their own successful cleaning schedules and rotations. There is a detached apartment that needs to be cleaned weekly as well. The family has recently moved into this home, and would love initial help reorganizing, decorating, and setting things up. A deep cleaning of the home will be required multiple times a year.
It is to be noted that their grandchildren visit around the holidays and the housekeeper will be expected to work, but will have time off before or after family/guests leave. If the family is out of town, they would like their housekeeper to stay on the property while they are away. They have a dog and two cats. It would be lovely if their housekeeper could walk the dog daily, and possibly do light meal prep for the family. They like things neat and orderly, but do not enjoy micromanaging household staff. You must be a highly motivated and driven person to be considered for this position. There is room to grow in this position, as they are considering adding more staff to the home in the future. There may be times that the family will travel to their beach house and would like to bring their housekeeper with them.

- Caring for fine art
- Polishing Silver

- Organization
- Cleaning Bathrooms
- Floor care
- Household dishes
- Household clothing care
- Errand running as needed (rug cleaner, dry cleaner, grocery)
- Creating and implementing a rotating cleaning schedule
- Stocking bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas
- Ironing linens
- Making beds
- Light prep
- Climbing ladders to clean windows and dust books in their library
- Indoor plant care
- Travel as needed
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience as a professional housekeeper
- Covid vaccinated
- Comfortable with animals in the home
- Inclusive and proactive
- Self motivated
- Organized
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable climbing ladders
- Fluent in English
- Passionate about housekeeping
- Able to make a 5+ year commitment
- be legally permitted to work in the United States
- be at least 21 years of age
- be able to pass a government background check if hired, including sex offender, criminal, county, and state, DMV records
