Family First is assisting a sweet family of three located near the Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, NC, in finding a long term nanny for their one child, aged 14 months. They are looking for someone who is looking to stay with a growing family.
This position starts in early October, but they have temp care and are willing to wait for the right fit. Care is needed Monday from 7:30a-4:15p, and Tuesday-Friday, from 7:30a-4p. They are offering $24-$27 an hour for a nanny that is dedicated, experienced, and positive. Both mom and dad work outside of the home, and need a nanny who is punctual, timely, and reliable. They would love someone who is hands on with their son, and able to play on the floor with him, engaging him in new and interesting ways as he grows. As a family, they are interested in Montessori methods, though they are open to some things Montessori and some things not. They are open to their nanny taking their child to playdates and outings after some time has passed and a relationship has been built.
Ideally, they have a nanny who is able to develop, implement, and maintain sleep and activities schedules for their child. For the child, they want a caregiver who he can rely on and feel safe and loved with. Exploring the world in a natural but safe way is important to them. They would like their son to learn boundaries and safety. No screen time will be allowed before the child is 2, and while at work, they would prefer their nanny to limit their personal screen time during their child’s awake times. Dad is severely allergic to cats, so someone who does not have cats, or is willing to change at work, is ideal.

Childcare Duties include:
- Developing, Implementing, and maintaining routines and schedules
- Creating engaging and hands on environments
- Child’s meal prep
- Tidy up play areas
- Restock nursery
Household Duties include:
- Child’s dishes
- Child’s Laundry
- Unload the family dishwasher once daily
Requirements:
- Covid Vaccine
- Up to date with TDAP and Flu
- Willing to stay long term
- Timely and reliable
- Active, engaging, and hands on
- At least 3 years of in home nanny experience
- Legally permitted to work in the United States
- At least 21 years of age
- Able to clear a government background check including sex offender, criminal, county, state, and DMV records.
