Family First is honored to assist a family located in the Cotswold area of Charlotte, North Carolina, in finding a long term, professional nanny for their two children, ages 3 years and 15 months. They do have one dog.
There is some flexibility on the start date. Ideally, their new nanny would start on January 3rd, but the family is easily able to wait until early February for the right fit. Care is needed 8:15am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. They are asking for some flexibility for over nights or date nights. They are offering $25-$28 an hour and guaranteed hours for a nanny that is interested in a long term, multi-year position. Mom and works from home, in separate office and dad works out of the home. They have a give and take with childcare responsibilities with their current nanny, and would like the same relationship to continue. They are looking for a nanny who is both proactive and patient, and loves to play with children at their unique developmental levels. A planner, and someone who has experience with two young children would be great.
Their 15 month old is active and on the go. He is not verbal yet, but loves hugs, snuggles, and his My Gym class. In the fall, he will be starting part time preschool a few days a week. Their three year old loves imaginary play and is a good independent player. She loves to make people laugh and has a great sense of humor. Next fall, she will be in part time preschool 5 days a week. As a family, they enjoy doing anything outdoors and remain as active as possible. They are loving, caring, and kind, and are looking for a nanny to become an extended family member.
Big Little Feelings and Gentle Parenting are the childcare philosophies most utilized in their home. Someone who is experienced or willing to read up on those methods would be ideal. Mom and dad would really like to see their kids form a strong bond and connection with their nanny.

- Children’s Laundry

- Washing and putting away children’s dishes
- Organizing children’s playroom and bedrooms
- Creating an engaging, warm and positive environment
- Prioritizing the safety of the children
- Supporting the emotional and physical development of the children
- Transportation of children
- Read to the children
- Encourage imaginative play
- Planning/doing activities with the children inside and outside of the house
Household Duties Include:
- Light housekeeping for family
- Letting dog into yard to potty
Requirements:
Reliable and proactive
Kind and Loving
Willing to make a multi year commitment
At least 3 years of professional nanny experience
Experience with two young children is a plus
Organized and a planner
Must be fluent in English
Must be allowed to work in the US
Must be willing to undergo an extensive background check
Must be at least 21 years of age
