Family First is honored to assist a family located in the Cotswold area of Charlotte, North Carolina, in finding a long term, professional nanny for their two children, ages 4 years and 2 years. They have one cuddly dog as well.
The start date is February 5. Care is needed 8:15am-5:30pm Monday through Friday, with some flexibility desired for over nights and date nights. They are offering $25-$30 per hour and guaranteed hours for a nanny that is interested in a long term, multi-year position. They are looking for someone who wants to grow with and become an integral part of the family. Mom works from home in a separate office and dad works out of the home. They have a give and take with childcare responsibilities with their current nanny, and would like the same relationship to continue. They are looking for a nanny who is both proactive and patient, loves to play with children at their unique developmental levels, is a planner and has great time management, and who has experience caring for two young children.
Their two-year old is active and on the go while also loving and caring. He loves to sing, play and be silly with his older sister. He is in preschool for 3 hrs/day 2 days/week. Their four-year old loves imaginary play, making people laugh, and has a great sense of humor. She is in part-time preschool 4 days/week. As a family, they enjoy doing anything outdoors and remain as active as possible. They are loving, warm, accepting, and kind, and are looking for a nanny to become an extended family member.
Big Little Feelings and Gentle Parenting are the childcare philosophies most utilized in their home. Someone who is experienced or willing to read up on those methods would be ideal. Mom and dad would really like to see their kids form a strong bond and connection with their nanny.

Childcare Duties include:
- Children’s Laundry
- Children’s Meal prep
- Feeding children
- Washing and putting away children’s dishes
- Organizing children’s playroom and bedrooms
- Creating an engaging, warm and positive environment for play and learning
- Prioritizing the safety of the children
- Maintain daily routines
- Supporting the emotional and physical development of the children
- Organizing play dates and social activities with other children
- Assist with potty training when the time comes
- Transportation of children
- Read to the children
- Encourage imaginative play
- Creating/planning/doing activities with the children inside and outside of the house
Household Duties Include:
- Light housekeeping for family
- Letting dog into yard to potty
Requirements:
- Reliable and proactive
- Kind, loving, patient
- Willing to make a multi-year commitment
- At least 3 years of professional nanny experience
- Experience with two young children is a plus
- Organized, great time management, a planner
- Self-starter who can plan activities: take children out of house for adventures, and create adventures inside in our playroom
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (must be fluent in English)
- Must be allowed to work in the US
- Must be willing to undergo an extensive background check
- Must be at least 21 years of age
