Family First Household Staffing Agency is assisting a thoughtful and engaging family in Charlotte, NC, in their search for a professional, career-minded after school nanny to care for their two daughters, ages 7 and 4.

Start Date: January 2, 2026 or sooner for the right fit
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM (with potential flexibility for additional hours)
Location: Waxhaw, NC
Pay Rate: $25–$30 per hour

What They Are Looking For

The family is seeking a professional nanny who is confident, attentive, loves being outside and genuinely enjoys being part of a family team. 

The ideal candidate is available Monday–Thursday afternoons and is ready to bring engaging ideas for activities, creative play, and learning while staying attuned to the family’s routines and values. They focus primarily on child-related care, with household tasks outside of child care limited to tidying up after activities. They value open and honest communication and view themselves as a partner with the parents, using their full “tool belt” to teach, support emotional regulation, and nurture the child’s overall development.

A Day in the Life

Your role will center on loving, structured, and enriching care for both children, including:

• Supporting afternoon routines, homework, and creative play.
• Planning and supervising activities such as outdoor play, swimming, library visits, and neighborhood adventures.
• Encouraging emotional regulation and helping children build independence.
• Preparing snacks and light meals as needed.
• Tidying spaces used during activities to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Supporting the family’s structure and values with flexibility and care.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent in-home nanny experience.
• Comfortable working with school-age children and supporting emotional regulation.
• Experience planning activities and outings appropriate for children ages 4–7.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication skills, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the U.S. as a W2 employee
• Willingness to undergo a national background and motor vehicle report.

Compensation & Benefits

• $25–$30/hr, based on experience.
