About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and dependable Lead Companion/House Manager to support a senior couple in Aiken, SC. This role is ideal for a “Jill of all trades”—someone who brings warmth and organization into the home while actively participating in daily life. The perfect candidate will lead coordination of activities and schedules while personally engaging in them, whether driving to appointments or sharing in meaningful experiences that create structure and companionship.

This is not a medical caregiving role, but a heart-centered, hands-on position for someone who enjoys building relationships and supporting independence in a respectful and graceful way. We’re looking for someone who will directly assist with daily routines and accompany our loved ones on outings, always maintaining their dignity and autonomy.

The family has additional caregivers in place and is now looking for a lead companion to manage household logistics while providing steady, thoughtful leadership within the home. This role combines operational oversight with genuine involvement in the care and companionship that enhances our loved ones’ quality of life, creating a balanced approach that supports both practical needs and emotional well-being.

  • Guaranteed hours
  • Potential health insurance stipend
  • A long-term, stable opportunity with a kind, respectful family

About the Clients:

This vibrant couple—both master gardeners—enjoy a rich and active lifestyle that includes golfing, swimming, music, and the arts. They are seeking a thoughtful and attentive companion who can bring ease and organization to their daily routines while honoring their unique preferences and personalities. The wife is a pescatarian who is more reserved, highly observant, and detail-oriented, appreciating quiet connection and thoughtful support. The husband, who has dietary allergies including lactose and mustard, is conversational, social, and enjoys engaging company. The ideal candidate will understand how to balance both structure and spontaneity while respecting each individual’s rhythm and needs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serving as a warm and professional point of contact for service providers
  • Maintaining a calm, organized, and respectful home environment

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in elder care, senior companionship, or household management

  • Patient, kind, and excellent with communication
  • Fully vaccinated (if required by the household)
  • Comfortable with light physical assistance (training can be provided if needed)
  • Experience with high-net-worth families a plus

Ideal Candidate:

You are a natural caregiver with a warm presence and a high standard of professionalism. You enjoy being the go-to person in a household—coordinating moving pieces, offering gentle structure, and being a calm source of support.
